Hermes Kelly 28 Sellier Miel, Graphite & Black Alligator with Gold Hardware - 1995, Y Circle

1996 brought a number of slight but important changes to the iconic Kelly design, including the introduction of Palladium hardware and the updated shoulder strap. This 28cm Kelly is one of the finest examples of the pre-96 Kelly era, which saw essentially zero changes to the design since the late 1960’s. Shiny Alligator in Sellier construction is magnificent in its own right, but here Hermes takes it further using three classic neutrals: Miel, Black, and Graphite, the latter of which is ticked with Miel stitching bringing the warmth down from the gleaming Gold hardware. Maintained in immaculate condition, this is one of the best vintage Kellys we’ve seen in years!
